Important Information:
- The Gate Visa Program is a fast and simplified visa application provided by the Greek authorities for Turkish Republic citizens who will make short tourist visits to certain Greek islands.
The visa granted within this program does not have the status of a Schengen visa. It is valid only on the Greek island to be visited, and is issued for a maximum of 6 nights and 7 days with a single entry-exit. You can only stay on the island that you entered during the visa period; island-to-island passage is not allowed. At the end of the visit, departure must again be made from the same island.
- Gate Visa is not concluded in advance like a Schengen visa.
After the application file is prepared, the passenger departs from Turkish ports without a visa.
The final decision is given at the customs point of the relevant Greek island on the day of travel. - Generally, no information is provided before the travel.
However, in some adverse situations, information that the application has been rejected may come 2–3 days before the trip. - No justification is given for rejected applications.
Also, no refund of visa fees is made.
Things to be Considered:
- Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry and must contain at least 2 blank pages.
- The following passengers will not be granted a visa at the gate:
- Those who have previously been denied by Greece,
- Those with an entry from TRNC in their passport,
- Those who have obtained their passport from the Turkish Consulate in TRNC.
- Gate visa is only valid for the island applied for.
Other islands cannot be visited.
**** Visa processes will be conducted by kapidakolayvize.com.
