DAY 01 ISTANBUL AIRPORT – ROME – CIVITAVECCHIA
We will meet at Istanbul Airport, International Terminal at 04:30 AM, then depart for Rome at 09:10 AM with Turkish Airlines flight TK1861. We will arrive in Rome at 09:50 AM local time, followed by a transfer to Civitavecchia port, where our MSC WORLD ASIA cruise ship is docked. After check-in and passport procedures on the ship, we will settle into our cabins and have free time. Our ship will depart from the port at 19:00. Dinner and overnight on the ship.
DAY 02 MESSINA (TAORMINA)
Our ship will dock at Messina port at 12:00 PM. After breakfast, there will be free time for personal activities. Guests who wish can join the “Taormina Tour” organized by our guide for an additional fee. During this tour, we will visit the world-famous town of Taormina, passing through scenic hills. We will see the Cathedral, Corvaia Palace, and the Roman Theatre (from the outside), along with Umberto Street. After free time for shopping, we will return to the ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 20:00. Dinner and overnight on the ship.
DAY 03 VALLETTA
Our ship will dock at Valletta port at 09:00 AM. After breakfast, there will be free time for personal activities. Those interested can join the “Mosta & Valletta & Mdina & Marsaxlokk Tour” organized by our guide for an additional fee. Our first stop will be Mosta. In this tour, we will visit the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta, which has the third-largest dome in Europe. The interior paintings of this massive basilica, with an outer diameter of 56.2 meters, were made by the painter Giuseppe Cali. We will also see the replica of a 200 kg bomb that was dropped by German Nazi planes during World War II and pierced the dome without exploding, along with information about the church's architecture. Next, we will visit Mdina, the old capital of Malta, known as the “Silent City,” where many scenes from the famous series Game of Thrones were filmed. While wandering through the narrow streets of this medieval town, we will see the magnificent St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Falson Palace built by one of Malta's noble families in the 13th century, the Baroque Carmelite Monastery built in the 17th century, Vilhena Palace, and the old houses of Mdina. Our tour will continue with a visit to the fishing village of Marsaxlokk. You must not miss the view of the Luzzo, small charming fishing boats with unique Maltese colors and designs. Additionally, guests will have free time in this charming fishing village, where a market is set up, to enjoy lunch at local restaurants offering menus of fresh fish and seafood. After our free time, we will head back to Valletta. We will conduct a city tour of Valletta. Valletta was selected as the European Capital of Culture in 2018 by the Council of the European Union. During our tour, we will have the opportunity to see the magnificent walled city of Valletta from outside. After a bus tour, we will explore the lively streets of the capital Valletta with our guide, starting from the Barracca Gardens, which are located on the upper part of the defense walls surrounding this magnificent city. These gardens, made by the Knights of St. John, also offer stunning views of the Grand Harbor and the three ancient cities surrounded by walls. After our tour, we will return to the ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 17:00. Dinner and overnight on the ship.
DAY 04 DAY AT SEA
This day will be spent sailing at sea, and our ship will offer you many alternatives. Those who wish can enjoy the ship's outdoor and indoor pools, jacuzzis, and sunbathing areas. Others may shop at duty-free stores, try their luck in the casino, or take advantage of various musical and entertainment programs in the many bars. Throughout the day, a variety of dining options will be available for you. Dinner and overnight on the ship.
DAY 05 BARCELONA
Our ship will dock at Barcelona port at 08:00 AM. After breakfast, there will be free time for personal activities. Guests may join the “Barcelona City Tour” organized by our guide for an additional fee. Our city tour in Barcelona, one of the most beautiful metropolises in Europe, will begin with our special bus waiting for us at the port. We will see La Rambla Street, the Cristoforo Colombo Monument, Maremagnum Artificial Port, Barceloneta Beach, the Olympic area and port, Catalunya Square, the Paseu de Gracia street where Gaudi transformed his houses into a street museum, and his most important work, the Sagrada Familia. We will stop at Montjuic Hill to take panoramic photos. After free time for shopping, we will return to the ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 18:00. Dinner and overnight on the ship.
DAY 06 MARSEILLE
Our ship will dock at Marseille port at 08:00 AM. After breakfast, there will be free time for shopping and personal activities. Guests who wish can join the “Marseille City Tour & Aix En Provence Tour” organized by our guide. Our tour will start with a visit to the “Notre Dame de la Garde Cathedral” located on a high hill. Following this visit, we will see Longchamps Fountain, Saint Charles Train Station, the old town, City Hall, and the harbor area. Afterwards, we will go to Aix en Provence, located 40 minutes from Marseille. Our visit will start with the famous St. Saviour’s Cathedral, which dates back to the 12th century with its Romanesque facade and vaulted covered walkway. Then, during a pleasant walk in the old area of the city, we will see antique inns and the Mazarin district, designed by the brother of Cardinal Mazarino in the 17th century. Our ship will depart from the port at 18:00. Dinner and overnight on the ship.
DAY 07 GENOA
Our ship will dock at Genoa port at 08:00 AM. After breakfast, there will be free time for personal activities. Guests who wish can join the “Genoa & Portofino Tour” organized by our guide for an additional fee. We will depart with our special vehicle towards Genoa city center, a significant maritime city that used to rule over the Mediterranean region, including Istanbul. We will see important sites such as San Lorenzo Cathedral, the Duke’s Palace, and Christopher Columbus’ house. In the second part, we will head to Portofino, a town about an hour away from Genoa that has inspired songs and is known as the lovers' town. After some free time in this peaceful seaside town, we will return to the ship. Our ship will depart from the port at 18:00. Dinner and overnight on the ship.
DAY 08 CIVITAVECCHIA (ROME) - ISTANBUL AIRPORT
Our ship will dock at Civitavecchia port at 07:00 AM. After breakfast, we will conduct our disembarkation procedures and then leave the ship. We will depart to Rome Airport with our special vehicle waiting for us at the port. After arriving at the airport and completing check-in and passport procedures, we will depart for Istanbul with Turkish Airlines flight TK1864 at 19:45. We will arrive at Istanbul Airport at 00:20 local time. End of our tour.
