Day 1 Istanbul – Sarajevo (Travnik)
Meeting at the Turkish Airlines check-in counter at Istanbul Airport's International Departures Terminal. After ticket, luggage, and passport procedures, we will depart for Sarajevo on Turkish Airlines flight TK 1023 at 12:45. Arrival in Sarajevo at 13:35 local time. After passport, luggage, and customs procedures, we depart for the Sarajevo tour. We start our city tour with a stroll around Baščaršija, Europe's most distinguished bazaar. During this cultural city tour, we begin with the Sebilj Fountain, which is almost a symbol of the bazaar, followed by a visit to the Morica Han, one of the most authentic points in the city. We then visit Hüsrev Bey Mosque, a relative of Suleiman the Magnificent. Our tour continues with the Clock Tower, the famous fountain, and the meeting point of cultures, where the Eternal Flame monument is located. We then move on to free time; guests can photograph the Latin Bridge, where World War I began. After our tour and free time, we transfer to our hotel. Guests may optionally participate in the Travnik Tour (60 EUR). We head towards Travnik; upon arrival, we first start visiting the old fortress. After visiting the castle built during the Bosnian Kingdom and adorned during Ottoman rule, we visit "Sulejmanije", the first mosque built by the Ottomans in Bosnia. We take a walk around the city center. We visit the house of Nobel Peace Prize-winning author Ivo Andric, who best explains the reasons for ethnic discrimination in the Balkan geography. After visiting the museum of this famous writer, we visit the Blue Spring believed to be where Fatih Sultan Mehmed drank water. We then head back to Sarajevo. Overnight at our hotel.
Day 2 Sarajevo – Konjic – Mostar – Počitel – Medjugorje (Blagaj-Kravice)
After breakfast at our hotel and checking out of the rooms, we depart for Mostar with our private buses. Guests may optionally join the Vrelo Bosne tour (20 EUR). We visit Vrelo Bosne, Sarajevo's largest national park, located at the foot of Mount Igman, which has well-arranged walking paths, horse-drawn carriages, and authentic cafes. Our journey to Mostar will take approximately 2.5 hours with several stops. Our first stop is in the town of Konjic (Konyitz), where we see the famous Konjic Bridge, restored by Turkey, and take a coffee break by the Neretva River. Upon arrival in Mostar, we will have a walking city tour, starting with the Mostar Bridge. (The bridge, completed in 1557 by architect Hayreddin, is a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture.) The bridge was destroyed by Croatian artillery during the war in 1992 but reopened in 2004 with significant contributions from the Republic of Turkey. We explore the old town bazaar. After our Mostar tour, we visit the village of Počitel and have free time. Guests may optionally join the Blagay Tour (20 EUR). We then transfer to Medjugorje for accommodation, and guests may optionally join the Kravice Waterfalls tour, one of the most magnificent waterfalls in the Balkans (35 EUR). Overnight at our hotel.
Day 3 Medjugorje – Budva (Kotor-Tivat-Perast)
After breakfast at our hotel, we depart for Budva, the pearl of Montenegro. After our panoramic tour in Budva, we take a moment to see the stunning island of St Stefan, once a fishermen's settlement and now a holiday destination for the jet set after being privatized. Guests may optionally join the Kotor-Tivat-Perast tour (75 EUR). Our first stop will be Kotor; this small city is significant for its historical and architectural heritage, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979. During our walking city tour, we will see the most important structures reflecting the fabric of Venetian architecture. We will then explore the unique landscapes of Kotor Bay before visiting the postcard-perfect Perast. The last stop on our journey along this precious coastline will be Tivat, known as the Monaco of Montenegro, where you can relax in its luxurious cafes. Overnight at our hotel (in Budva or nearby).
Day 4 Budva – Podgorica – Istanbul (Lake Skadar)
After breakfast at our hotel, those who wish may optionally join the Skadar Lake tour with lunch (65 EUR). Also known as Lake Shkodra, this lake is the largest in the Balkans and hosts over 270 species of birds, including pelicans, which are in danger of extinction. This peaceful lake will enchant you with its nature. We will also have lunch on the lake during this tour and conclude it in Rijeka Crnojevica before transferring to Podgorica Airport. After ticket, luggage, and passport procedures, we depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines flight TK1088 at 20:40. Arrival in Istanbul at 23:35. We hope to see you on your next trip...
