Tour Program
Day 1: Istanbul – Tirana  – Elbasan – Ohrid

Meeting at the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport International Departures Terminal. After check-in, baggage, and passport procedures, we will depart for Tirana at 08:00 AM with Turkish Airlines flight TK1073. Arrival in Tirana at 08:45 AM local time. After passport, baggage, and customs procedures, we will reach the city of Ohrid, which is characterized as a Mediterranean town in the Balkans, through Elbasan. We will start our tour with the Square, explaining the statues we see, followed by a walk through the historic quarter where the filming of Elveda Rumeli series took place, showcasing the historical Ottoman houses, Saint Sophia Church, and concluding our tour with the presentation of the famous Ohrid Pearl which is the biggest symbol of Ohrid city. After the tour, we will have free time. Following free time, transfer to our hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel

Day 2: Ohrid – Sveti Naum – Resne – Bitola (Manastir) – Skopje
After breakfast, we will first arrive at St. Naum accompanied by breathtaking views with a drive of about 1 hour. There, we will witness the spring of the Black Drin that feeds Lake Ohrid. The stunning scenery will undoubtedly take your breath away. Following this, we will proceed to Resne. In Resne, we will see the Palace of Niyazi, one of the famous figures of the Union and Progress, who gained fame for his contributions during the Turkish-Greek War, and then arrive in Bitola. During our tour in Manastir (Bitola); we will visit Magnolia Square, the Clock Tower, the Yeni Mosque, the Bedesten, İshak Pasha Mosque and experience the most emotional moments by visiting the Military Gymnasium where Atatürk graduated and Atatürk Museum. Following our visit, we continue to the capital Skopje for our city tour. We will begin our city tour with the Macedonian side referred to as the land of statues, first seeing the massive statue of Alexander the Great, then passing through the historic Skopje Stone Bridge, and witnessing how cultures change by transitioning to the Skopje Turkish Bazaar, one of the most sophisticated bazaars of the Ottoman Empire in the Balkans. While explaining the statues at the bazaar entrance, we will start our tour of the historic Davut Pasha Bath, then visit Kapan Han, one of the most important structures of the Ottoman bazaar organization, and the Murat Pasha Mosque which survived earthquakes. We will have one hour of free time for shopping in the Turkish Bazaar. Souvenirs such as Shushka pepper, Ustrumca peanuts, and traditional shoes will be among our options. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and check into the rooms. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Skopje – Matka Canyon – Kosovo (Prizren) – Skopje (Balkan Night)

After breakfast at our hotel, we will head to the enchanting Matka Canyon. During our pleasant walk, we will take stunning photos, followed by a brief free time before gathering back in our vehicle to head towards the legendary Osmanlı Mansion from the 19th century which is close to the capital of Kosovo, Pristina, and the Tomb of I. Murad (the Hüdavendigar) who was martyred at the Battle of Kosovo, which was one of the greatest victories of the Ottomans in the Balkans. After our visit, we will drive approximately 100 km to arrive at Prizren, considered one of the cutest cities in the Balkans, nestled along the banks of the Bistrica River. During our panoramic tour of Prizren, we will see the Turkish Bath from the 17th century, Sinan Pasha Mosque built in 1615, and Prizren Fortress. After the tour and free time, we will return to Skopje. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Skopje – Belgrade
After breakfast, we will set off for Belgrade. After traveling, our city tour starts with the city’s most elegant street Knez Mihailova. Then we will visit the Belgrade Fortress where Fatih Sultan Mehmed was wounded while conquering the city, which was later captured by Kanuni Sultan Süleyman. Within the fortress, we will see the Key Monument, French Statue, Istanbul Gate, Military Museum, Damat Ali Pasha Tomb, Sokullu Fountain, and enjoy the view of the meeting point of the Sava and Danube rivers at the terrace area. After the tour, we will have free time. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Belgrade – Sarajevo
After breakfast at our hotel, we will move towards Sarajevo. While traveling along the mountainous Balkan roads, we will enjoy stunning views. Upon arrival, we will start our panoramic city tour. We will take a stroll in Baščaršija, Europe’s most notable bazaar. Our city tour will start with the Sebilj Fountain which has become the symbol of this cultural city, followed by a visit to Morica Han, one of the most authentic spots in the city. Next, we will visit the Hüsrev Bey Mosque, a relative of Kanuni Sultan Süleyman. In continuation of the tour, we will see the Clock Tower, the famous fountain transformed into a ritual, and the Sönmeyen Ateş memorial located at the same street that serves as a meeting point of cultures, followed by some free time where guests can take pictures of the Latin Bridge where World War I broke out. After the tour and free time, transfer to our hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Sarajevo – Konjic – Mostar – Blagaj – Trebinje
After breakfast at our hotel, we will travel to Mostar, enjoying beautiful views of the Neretva River’s ecosystem along the way. We will make a brief stop in Konjic, a small charming town described by Evliya Çelebi in his travel book as the place where horses rested/drank. We will see the Konjic Bridge built by IV. Mehmet and take photos before continuing our journey via Jablanica. The road offers stunning nature views shaped by the Neretva River. Upon arrival in Mostar, we will take a walking city tour where we will first see the Mostar Bridge. (Constructed by architect Hayreddin in 1557, this bridge is a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture.) The bridge was destroyed by Croatian artillery during the war in 1992, but with significant contributions from the Republic of Turkey, it was reopened in 2004. We will explore the Old City Bazaar, have free time, and then head to Blagaj, known for the Alperenler Lodge located at the spring of the Buna River. After a short journey, we will walk from the parking area and have free time at this beautiful site. During the free time, guests may visit the lodge or enjoy taking pictures from outside. After our visits, we will transfer to our hotel based on availability. Overnight stay either in Trebinje, Medjugorje, or Blagaj, depending on the volume of reservations.

Day 7: Trebinje – Kotor – Budva – Shkodra - Tirana
After breakfast at our hotel, we will cross over to Montenegro, one of the world's youngest states. Our first stop will be Kotor, an important historical and natural beauty site as well as a tourist attraction. Here, we will conduct a walking tour in Stari Grad (Old City-Castle) to get to know this charming town, seeing the Arsenal Square, Clock Tower, Shame Monument, Government Palace, Guardian Tower, Church of Saint Tryphon, and other noted historical structures. After free time at the old town, we will pass through Budva, stopping to see the magnificent Sveti Stefan, which was once a fisherman settlement turned into an island owned by a Singapore billionaire, and which is currently undergoing restoration for tourism. Following this, we will head toward Albania and arrive in Shkodra before reaching Tirana, where we will transfer to our hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8: Tirana – Istanbul
After breakfast at our hotel, we will start our city tour of Tirana. This beautiful city, which was caught between wars throughout the 20th century and experienced 40 years of dictatorship under Enver Hoxha, was developed in 1614 by Suleyman Pasha and became the capital of Albania in 1920. We will have a panoramic tour where we see Ethem Bey Mosque located at Skanderbeg Square, the Historical Clock Tower, and the National History Museum as well as the Opera House. Institutions like the Parliament, Prime Ministry Building, Presidential Mansion, Teresa Rahibe Square, and Tirana Pyramid will be among the places we see from our vehicle. After the Tirana tour, there will be some free time. Following this, we will transfer to Tirana Airport. After completing ticket, baggage, and passport processes, we will depart for Istanbul with Turkish Airlines flight TK1078 at 19:50 and arrive in Istanbul at 22:35. - It is sufficient to have Euros during the tour to make purchases and expenses in all the countries included in the program. The guide will assist with currency exchange in areas where the local currency is used.
- Comfortable walking shoes or sneakers should be preferred during the trip. It is also advisable to bring a cardigan or similar clothing for the evenings.
- In our tours, a rotation (seat change) practice is implemented in the seating plan on a daily basis, and a fixed seat or a front seat guarantee is not provided. Seat changes are organized by the vehicle guide.
- There is a minimum stay requirement of 3 days to bring items (alcohol - cigarettes, etc.) into Turkey from abroad.
- The duty-free shopping limit when entering Turkey from abroad is: Cigarettes: 3 cartons, Alcoholic Beverages: 1 liter of alcoholic beverages (excluding alcoholic beverages with more than 22% alcohol, wine, and champagne), Alcoholic Beverages: 2 liters of alcoholic beverages (including alcoholic beverages with less than 22% alcohol, wine, and champagne), Perfume: 600 ml, Makeup or Skin Care Products: 5 items, Chocolate and Candies: 2 kg, Coffee: 1 kg, Tea: 1 kg.
- Guides can make changes in the program flow as long as they show all the places mentioned in the program, depending on weather and road conditions.
- Guests who register for the tour have the right to cancel free of charge up to 30 days before. If cancellation occurs less than 30 days before the tour date, a 30% penalty will apply, and in case of cancellation 20 days or less before, a 100% penalty will apply. Participants' cancellation requests along with hospital reports, business leave documents, etc., provided from Turkish authorities will unfortunately not be accepted for cancellations of hotels and services they will receive outside Turkey.
- Our tour program is organized with a minimum participation requirement of 25 people. If sufficient participation is not achieved for the trip, the last cancellation notification date will be 20 days before the tour departure. The canceled tour due to insufficient participation will be notified by Viyatravel.
- In cases where only category information is provided and/or options for the same destination, the hotels will be informed by Viyatravel 2 days before the trip.
- During periods such as fairs, congresses, concerts, events, and sports tournaments, the hotels may be located at distances greater than the specified kilometers.
- Triple rooms can be allocated based on hotel availability, and the bed assigned to the third person in such rooms is smaller than standard beds. Triple rooms consist of 1 large bed and 1 extra bed. Since extra beds may consist of folding beds and are referred to as coach beds, participants in 3rd person and/or child reservations accept that they may experience crowding and type of bed in the rooms. Child discounts are only valid for a single child within the appropriate age group staying with 2 accompanying adults.
- Breakfast included in the tour program is served in accordance with the breakfast culture of the country and generally comprises a limited menu consisting of butter, jam, bread, tea, or coffee, and may be served in a separate hall allocated for the group.
- The panoramic city tours included in the tour package are organized for the general presentation of the cities and last a maximum of 2-3 hours. They do not include admission to museums or historical sites, and if local authorities do not allow visits or if there are closed roads due to any event or weather conditions, Viyatravel is not responsible for the inability to conduct the mentioned tours. Some tours may be conducted using public transportation or on foot where closed roads or restricted vehicle access exist.
- During travel, waiting times at customs checkpoints crossed by road may exceed standard limits, and Viyatravel cannot be held responsible for negative situations arising from these waiting times.
- Extra tours are organized by the local provider, Viyatravel, with a minimum participation requirement of 20 people. If sufficient numbers are not met, the trips cannot be made, or the extra tour prices, content, and the vehicle used may vary based on the number of participants. Additionally, the days and times of the tours may be changed by the guide depending on the open/closed status of the museums and historical sites to be visited and weather conditions.
- Participation in extra tours is optional and not mandatory. Passengers who do not wish to participate in the extra tours organized during the trip are deemed to have accepted to wait at a suitable rest facility along the route. These passengers are dropped off at the roadside rest facility before the extra tour begins and are picked up from the same point after the tour is completed.
- For participants in airplane tours, check-in and boarding procedures are personal tasks that must be carried out by the guests at the airport counters of the relevant airline or online via the airline companies’ websites before the flight.
- Viyatravel is not responsible for individuals who are not present at the specified airport at the times indicated by Viyatravel, who do not complete their check-in and boarding procedures on time, or who complete these procedures on time but do not board the plane. All expenses for individuals who miss their flight, including new round-trip tickets and transfers in the destination region, will be their own responsibility.
- Viyatravel acts as an intermediary between the airline and the passenger and is subject to the Hague Protocol of 28.09.1955. There may be risks of delays in scheduled and charter flights, or times may change before existing trips and flights. Viyatravel is obliged to inform of these changes as soon as possible.
