It has a cosmopolitan structure especially in terms of art, architecture, cuisine, history, and cultural characteristics. You can start exploring this historic city from Corfu Town. Historical sites to visit in Corfu Town include Esplanade Park, the Old Castle, St. Michael's Palace, and St. George's Church. Day 7: Katakolon (Olympia)
MSC FANTASIA will arrive at Katakolon port at 07:00. After breakfast, passengers will have personal time to visit the area. Passengers disembarking from Katakolon will be greeted by the city's most famous streets, Praxitelli and Kondily. Those spending time in Katakolon are recommended to visit Pontikokastro (where Pontikon Castle is located, a historical architectural site from the Byzantine era), Skafidia Monastery, and Mercouri Winery. Those wishing to spend time on the clear waters of the Greek beaches are recommended to visit Spinaza Beach or Katakolo Beach. For those wanting to go to the Ancient Olympia Central, there is a distance of 35 kilometers and minibuses to that location depart from Katakolon. Olympia, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is famous for being the venue for the Olympic Games held in honor of Zeus, the chief god of Ancient Greece since 776 BC.
